SETAPART '07 is nearing an end. It's incredible to realize the preparation of an event like this and now the realization that it's almost over and we will soon be back to our homes and families. The commitments made this weekend should NOT be taken lightly and real-students had real-life-changing-experiences here this weekend.

This morning Rev. Kevin Myers - a Wesleyan Pastor from Georgia spoke on the fact that we are SETAPART for PURPOSE.

Students responded to a call to be SETAPART today by signing their name to a simple, individual pizza box and placing it with others that were signed by their peers. The result was a stack of boxes worth photographing:

Students again enjoyed seminars this afternoon and then a closing general session this evening.

Tonight, Efrem Smith closed out the convention with a challenge to realize that students are SETAPART for LIFE, instructing students to take the Bible seriously as the Word of God for our lives to be lived-out EVERYDAY!

Hundreds of students again responded to a call to be SETAPART from this world.

Students are now preparing for a concert by FAMILY FORCE 5 and they already enjoyed mini-concerts by EVERYDAY SUNDAY and FIREFLIGHT in the two General Sessions today.

Worship from this evening's rally with Steve Fee.

It's the first full-day of SETAPART '07 and it has already been an amazing convention!

This morning in the AM General Session, Marilyn Lazlo spoke about her experiences as a Bible Translator to the country of Papua New Guinea. Her experiences are an amazing confidence-builder in how God used a single-lady to transform an entire tribe and eventually translate His Word into their native language! Her use of humor and stories draw students in for a real-life experience of God-at-work!

The band, Sevenglory, played a powerful set this morning in the General Session, too.

Tonight, Shaun and Theresa Blakeney spoke on being SetApart for PURITY! The message of God setting us apart to live pure lives is a "taboo" subject in the sex-filled world around us. Tonight, however, students heard a straightforward message that sexual purity IS a possibility and that God commands us to flee from sexual temptations! As a husband and wife, Shaun & Theresa encouraged students to stay pure - only enjoying sex within the confines of marriage!

At the close of tonight's service, hundreds of students came forward to make commitments to be SetApart for purity! God made His move in the hearts of our students and they responded!

Please join us in prayer for students who are making commitments this weekend - that their lives WILL be SETAPART by and for God!

Kutless was the featured band tonight and as I blog, they are preparing to do a full concert in what the students know as the I-Zone - a literal theme park of inflatable games, full skate park, refreshments, and a stage for the live concert by Kutless!

Students waiting for the doors to open before a General Session today

Another part of each General Session is "SETAPART 07 NEWS" - a live 'pre-rally' time where students can win prizes, hear from Wesleyan Educational Institutions, see interviews with the featured bands, and much, much more! Be sure and ask your students about the NEWS at SETAPART 07.

Rally #1 has come and gone this evening with thousands in attendance. Efrem Smith started out the SETAPART weekend with a message regarding the fact that as Children of God we are Set Apart BY God and FOR God.

The introductory band tonight was Building 429, and Steve Fee and band lead us in worship through music before Efrem spoke.

The air is 'electric' with excitement as SETAPART is FINALLY here.

Orlando may never be the same and after commitments tonight, there are hundreds of students already who will never be the same!
